The Forever Forward season is likely to bring new timed research tasks, event-themed Pokémon spawns, and updated raid battles. Gaming enthusiasts have already witnessed in the teaser how a player walks up to a visor-wearing Pikachu, a costumed Pokémon previously released during the Spring Marathon event in May 2026.
Additionally, the new event will feature confetti and Pokémon Go's 10th-anniversary logo, confirming that the season will pay tribute to the game’s milestone festivities.
Some fans believe more Paldean Pokémon may appear during the season. Others expect limited-time events with special rewards and new challenges. Seasonal changes have become a regular part of Pokémon GO over the years, helping keep the game active between major updates.
In recent years, Niantic has leaned more into seasonal storytelling. Instead of running random events, the company now connects many updates through one main theme. Earlier seasons like Shared Skies and World of Wonders followed the same idea.
