Oppo has announced its much-awaited flagship smartphone lineup, the Find X8 Ultra, Find X8s, and Find X8s+, in China. Equipped with state-of-the-art cameras, sector-leading processors, and polished designs, the three phones are poised to revolutionize the Android flagship experience. The Find X8 Ultra takes centre stage with two periscope cameras and a 1-inch Sony sensor, while the Find X8s and X8s+ offer flagship-level performance in lower price points.
With the smartphone world more and more centred on camera technology, AI support, and all-day battery life, Oppo’s new releases check every box, and throw in a few of their own. These aren’t evolutionary upgrades; the Find X8 series marks Oppo’s forceful move into the upper echelons of premium Android phones, putting it squarely against Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra and the soon-to-be-released iPhone 16 Pro.
The Find X8 Ultra, the crown jewel of the range, is a smartphone photography monster. The flagship features a 50MP Sony LYT-900 1-inch sensor as the primary camera, among the biggest sensors to be embedded in a phone. Oppo didn’t leave it there, however. Battery life is also impressive. The Find X8 Ultra has a whopping 6,100 mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The X8s and X8s+ aren’t far behind, with 5,700 mAh and 6,000 mAh batteries, respectively, and 80W fast charging that can charge you from 0 to 100% in less than 40 minutes.
Durability and practicality in everyday use haven’t been forgotten. All three models feature IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance ratings and Oppo’s SGS Five-Star Drop Resistance certification, which makes them perfect for users with a tough, on-the-go lifestyle.
The Shortcut Key on the Ultra’s side provides a functional touch, users can program it to quick-launch the camera, turn on silent mode, or activate Google Assistant, which adds to the overall user experience.
Oppo’s Find X8 line is not simply an annual update, it’s a strategic push to own the world premium smartphone market. The Find X8 Ultra defies the limits of what a smartphone camera can do, while the X8s and X8s+ achieve a delicate equilibrium between performance, features, and cost.
Though Oppo has not announced global launch dates yet, the Find X8 series is likely to reach international markets soon, including India. If offered at competitive prices, these latest models might be genuine players in the flagship segment.
