OPPO expanded its Reno 16 lineup with the Reno 16T in China. The new smartphone combines a compact 6.32-inch display with a 6,700mAh battery, a 200-megapixel primary camera and MediaTek’s Dimensity 8550 Super chipset. The phone starts at CNY 3,699.
The OPPO Reno 16T starts at CNY 3,699 for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The 16GB RAM and 512GB storage model costs CNY 4,499. OPPO listed the smartphone on its China website, while an India launch has not been announced in the available information.
The Reno 16T features a 6.32-inch flexible OLED display with a 2,640 × 1,216-pixel resolution. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 240Hz touch sampling. OPPO also lists a local peak brightness of up to 3,600 nits.
The handset measures 151.21mm in height and 72.42mm in width. Depending on the colour variant, it weighs between 188 grams and 191 grams. The device also carries an IP69K protection rating.
Camera hardware is one of the phone’s main highlights. The Reno 16T features a 200MP primary camera with OIS, alongside a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 50MP telephoto camera with OIS.
The telephoto camera supports up to 3.5x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom. On the front, OPPO added a 50MP autofocus selfie camera. The rear camera system can record 4K video at up to 60fps.
The smartphone packs a 6,700mAh battery and supports 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. OPPO will also come with the Dimensity 8550 Super processor, up to 16GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. For connectivity, the Reno 16T supports 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC and USB Type-C. The phone runs ColorOS 16 and includes an under-display fingerprint sensor and an infrared remote-control feature
