OnePlus 16 could launch in India and other international markets, according to a new leak suggesting that the company is testing software builds for the flagship smartphone. The handset has already debuted in China, but its availability abroad remains unclear.
The development comes amid uncertainty over the company's international expansion, particularly after it recently withdrew from the US and European markets.
Tipster Abhishek Yadav claimed on X that OnePlus is testing global and Indian software versions of the OnePlus 16 under three model numbers: CPH2901, CPH2903, and CPH2905.
While the reported testing points to a possible international launch, it does not confirm the smartphone will reach Indian consumers. The company has not officially announced its plans for markets outside China.
The latest information suggests a global release hasn't been entirely ruled out, despite earlier uncertainty about the brand's international operations.

The tipster also claims OnePlus is developing the OnePlus 16R as a gaming-oriented smartphone under the model number PYP110. Another handset carrying the model number CPH2887 is reportedly in development.
Both devices are said to support high-refresh-rate displays. However, OnePlus has not officially confirmed details about either upcoming model.
Launched in China earlier this month, the OnePlus 16 features a 6.78-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. It runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset and ColorOS 17 based on Android 17.
The smartphone packs a 9,000mAh battery with 100W wired fast charging and 50W wireless charging. Its triple rear camera system includes a 200-megapixel primary sensor, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera. A 50-megapixel front camera handles selfies.
The device also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
OnePlus 16 starts at CNY 5,999 (about Rs. 86,000) in China for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.
The company has not yet announced the price, availability, or a launch timeline for India. Prospective buyers will have to wait for an official announcement before concluding its arrival in the country.
