

The upcoming OnePlus 15R is creating buzz with its rumored upgrades and performance enhancements. The smartphone is expected to include faster charging, smooth display tech, and an improved software experience. Leaks also suggest pricing that keeps the device competitive within its segment.
“The OnePlus 15R and OnePlus Pad Go 2 will be launched live at a keynote held in Bengaluru, India, on December 17,” the company announced in a press note.
The keynote event will take place in front of thousands of OnePlus Community members in India and celebrate the brand's 12th anniversary. The event will be streamed live on the company's YouTube channel and social media handle.
OnePlus has revealed several specifications of the upcoming launches.
The OnePlus 15R will feature a 1.5K AMOLED screen with a 165Hz refresh rate. The smartphone maker also confirmed that the upcoming model will have a 450 PPI pixel density and a peak brightness of 1,800 nits. OnePlus revealed the display supports a brightness range of 2 nits to 1,800 nits.
The upcoming handset will feature the brand's proprietary Detailmax Engine for computational photography. It will feature three advanced technologies found in OnePlus 15: Ultra Clear Mode, Clear Burst, and the Clear Night Engine.
OnePlus 15R integrates the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC. It is claimed to be the first handset to launch with this chipset and has been co-optimised with Qualcomm. The phone is also confirmed to have the new G2 Wi-Fi chip and Touch Response Chip.
OnePlus executive Li Jie Louis has revealed that the Ace 6T carries an enormous 8,000mAh cell. Leaks suggest that the 15R will carry a similar feature. OnePlus 15R will support 100W wired charging, while 50W wireless charging is also rumoured. The device will offer one of the fastest power top-ups in its class.
OnePlus 15R will retain the customisable Plus key, which was introduced on recent models. Analysts predict that the device may carry IP68 and IP69 protection ratings, according to certification clues originating from China.
The company revealed two colour options at launch: a classic Black and a fresh Green finish.
The official price is not revealed by the company yet. Early estimates indicate the upcoming model could start at Rs. 44,999.
OnePlus Pad Go 2 is also set to be introduced as the latest mid-range tablet from the brand. It will feature a 12.1-inch screen with a 2.8K resolution, 284PPI pixel density, 900 nits peak brightness, and 98 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut coverage. It also supports Dolby Vision and has TUV Rheinland Smart Care 4.0 certification.
The tablet will also feature the self-developed Open Canvas software for multitasking on a large display. It offers intuitive touch controls that let users activate split-screen mode and switch between multiple windows.
