Samsung’s moving forward with the One UI 7.0 beta program, and has released a new update for the Calendar app. The new app icon now displays both the day and date, a functional upgrade from the earlier version that showed only the date. It is this slight alteration for the better that serves a purpose by simply giving the viewer more data at a single glance, which improves the product experience.
The update, which is live for the Galaxy S24 series devices that are part of the beta programme, updates the Samsung Calendar to version 12.6.00.37. Users can download the latest version of Samsung’s application from the Galaxy Store.
Apart from the Calendar update, One UI 7.0 comes packed full of changes, and is one of Samsung’s most significant software upgrades in years. Built on Android 15, it brings many enhancements to the user interface which consist of curved themes, bright and bold colours, smooth transitions that simply makes navigating through your device easy and visually appealing.
The update also includes a vertical scrolling app drawer, a long-awaited feature requested by users, and integrated Galaxy Buds controls within the media player widget in the Quick Panel.
What is more, the novelty One UI 7.0 is devoted to the productivity enhancement and settings tuning. People are able to choose app icon sizes and widget blur to truly customize the app styles. It uses enhanced functions such as Galaxy AI for writing them, call recording to text, and home screen/widgets organization in perfect grids.
Samsung’s commitment to innovation extends to health management, with Samsung Health adding features like medication reminders and mindfulness tools. Gaming gets a boost with improved Game Booster controls and performance settings tailored to individual games.
With its rich feature set and emphasis on user convenience, One UI 7.0 sets a new benchmark for Samsung’s software ecosystem. While beta is available for the Galaxy S24 series, more of the device will receive the update in the next few weeks.
