Oakley and Meta have launched the Oakley Meta Vanguard AI performance glasses in India, expanding their athlete-focused smart eyewear portfolio.
The new wearable targets serious athletes and fitness enthusiasts, who require its combination of performance tracking and hands-free recording with a durable construction.
The Oakley Meta Vanguard AI glasses are priced starting at Rs 52,300 in India. They will be available across the country via major optical retail chains, including Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters.
Consumers can choose from four frame and lens combinations, with black and white frames paired with PRIZM 24K, PRIZM Black, PRIZM Road, and PRIZM Sapphire lenses.
The Vanguard features Oakley’s Three-Point Fit system with interchangeable nose pads for a secure, customized fit. The wraparound frame is compatible with helmets and caps, making it suitable for cycling and other endurance sports.
Oakley’s PRIZM lens technology improves contrast and clarity while blocking glare, wind, and dust. An IP67 rating makes it the most water- and dust-resistant AI eyewear in Oakley and Meta’s current lineup.

At the core is a centrally placed 12MP action camera capable of recording up to 3K video, aimed at capturing workouts hands-free. Open-ear speakers and a five-microphone array handle audio, calls, and voice commands. Battery life is rated at up to nine hours, with the charging case extending total usage to around 36 hours and supporting fast charging.
The glasses enable users to access information and training insights without using their hands because they use Meta AI technology as their main function. The upcoming integration of Garmin and Strava systems will provide users with performance tracking features that include real-time statistics and automatic highlights of their completed workouts.
The Vanguard system for Indian users provides support for Hindi, Telugu, and Kannada languages while featuring a celebrity AI voice, which uses the voice of Deepika Padukone and will later introduce the UPI Lite payment system for scanning QR codes with the eyewear.
