Danone USA has recalled certain So Delicious Dairy Free Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints available across the United States. The company announced the voluntary recall on September 15 after consumers reported foreign material in the product.
The dessert may contain ‘small stones and other hard objects’ in its cashew inclusions, according to the recall notice.
The So Delicious recall covers Salted Caramel Cluster Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert pints with SKU 136603 and UPC 744473476138. Danone included pints with best-by dates on or before April 3, 2028. The company said no other So Delicious flavors, codes or products fall under the current recall.
The US Food and Drug Administration posted Danone’s announcement on September 15. Danone said consumer complaints led the company to identify the issue. It then informed the FDA and started working with retailers to remove the recalled pints. Danone also said it corrected the problem and that new shipments do not fall under the recall.
Consumers should check the food product details before eating the dessert. Danone advised customers not to consume pints covered by the recall. Customers who bought the recalled product can contact So Delicious Consumer Care for a refund or replacement coupon.
Major retailers carried the recalled frozen dessert across the country. Walmart lists the So Delicious product on its September 15 recall notice and says select stores in numerous states, Washington, D.C., and Puerto Rico carried the product.
Target also lists So Delicious among its grocery recalls dated September 15. Its product listing identifies the Salted Caramel Cluster dessert under the same UPC, 744473476138. Customers can check the UPC and best-by date on each pint to determine whether the recall covers their purchase.
Kroger and several affiliated supermarket banners also carried the dessert in parts of the country. Retailers have started removing covered inventory from their shelves. Customers can follow instructions from the store where they purchased the dessert or contact So Delicious directly.
The September recall follows an earlier action involving the same Salted Caramel Cluster flavor. In December 2025, Danone recalled pints over possible small stones and other hard material in the cashew inclusions. This action covered products with best-by dates before August 8, 2027.
The latest action expands the covered best-by dates through April 3, 2028. However, Danone has not included other So Delicious Dairy Free products in the current recall. The company said unaffected products remain available at stores while new shipments are not part of the recall.
Consumers can contact the So Delicious Dairy Free Consumer Care Line at 1-833-367-8975 from Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Eastern Time. Customers can request a refund or replacement coupon and should check the SKU, UPC and best-by date on the package before contacting the company.
