Motorola is preparing a new book-style foldable that could expand its Razr portfolio beyond the conventional clamshell format. The device, reportedly known internally as Razr Flex and codenamed Parker, surfaced in multiple leaks ahead of its expected launch. Motorola also teased an unnamed wide foldable, confirming that it is working on the form factor.
The reported device could arrive in mid-December 2026, although Motorola did not announce an official launch date or confirm the Razr Flex name for retail use.
According to leaked specifications, “The Razr Flex could feature a 6.92-inch inner OLED display with a 2,364 × 1,728 resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate. A smaller 4.97-inch OLED cover display could sit on the outside, with a reported resolution of 1,736 × 1,140 pixels.”
The reported dimensions suggest that Motorola is prioritising a compact footprint. The phone could measure 110 × 149 × 5.8mm when unfolded and 110 × 76 × 12.6mm when folded. It may weigh around 215 grams.
The leaked specification sheet points to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. Reportedly, the storage configuration could remain limited to a single variant. The foldable could pack a 5,000mAh battery and support 25W wireless charging. It will also feature IP48 and IP49 protection, along with Android 17 at launch.
Motorola’s move comes as wide, book-style foldables gain attention following new entries from major smartphone makers. Earlier leaks showed a shorter and wider design, with Motorola’s teaser subsequently confirming that such a device is in development.
For now, the price, final product name, launch markets and complete specifications remain unknown. Motorola is expected to reveal more details closer to the reported December launch window.
