Motorola has confirmed the release date of Motorola Razr Fold in India. The foldable smartphone will be launched on May 13, and buyers can purchase it through Flipkart, Motorola India’s website, and offline stores.
Razr Fold was unveiled globally earlier this year at MWC 2026. With this launch, Motorola will enter India’s premium book-style foldable smartphone segment, currently led by Samsung and Vivo.
Motorola’s foldable lineup in India has so far focused on flip-style Razr phones. Razr Fold changes this strategy.
The company is now targeting users looking for a larger foldable display, flagship hardware, and multitasking features. Teasers shared online also confirm that the device will arrive in multiple colour options.
Razr Fold is expected to feature an 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED inner display with 2K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate support. The outer display could measure 6.6 inches with support for up to 165Hz refresh rate. Reports also suggest Gorilla Glass Ceramic protection for the cover screen. The smartphone is likely to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Expected variants include:
12GB RAM + 256GB storage
16GB RAM + 512GB storage
Motorola may ship the phone with Android 16-based My UX software.
The foldable smartphone is tipped to feature three 50MP rear cameras, including a primary sensor, ultra-wide lens, and periscope telephoto camera.
For selfies and video calls, the device may include:
32MP outer front camera
20MP inner camera
Razr Fold is also expected to pack a 6,000mAh battery with support for:
80W wired charging
50W wireless charging
Reports suggest the device could come with an IP49 rating for dust and water resistance.

The Indian launch will position Motorola directly against Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series in the premium foldable market.
