Motorola is preparing to launch the Edge 70 Pro in India. The company has already started teasing the phone online, and it has confirmed that the launch will be soon. The upcoming model is expected to focus on camera quality, battery life, and smooth daily use.
Over the last few years, Motorola has mostly stayed active in the mid-range market. However, the company now seems serious about building a stronger place in the premium segment. The Edge lineup has become an important part of that plan.
Many smartphone buyers now want a phone that handles gaming, photography, video, and multitasking without major lag or frequent battery drain. Motorola appears to be targeting that audience with the Edge 70 Pro.
Motorola is about to bring its latest Edge 70 Pro model in India on 4th June, 2026, and confirmed that users will get the phone from Flipkart, Motorola's own website, and retail outlets. However, about the price range, there’s no official announcement, but it seems that Edge 70 Pro will be available around Rs. 50,000.
The upcoming smartphone is expected to feature a Mediatek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor and a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 primary camera. The company may also add LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage for better data storage and security.
One of the biggest highlights includes the 6500mAh battery. Larger batteries are now in trend, and they allow smartphones to run for an entire day without any issues or lags. Users can spend long hours watching content, gaming, and using social media apps every day.
The phone will also bring a curved OLED display with a high refresh rate for smoother scrolling and gameplay. Along with that, it will feature 15W of wireless charging and 90W of wired fast charging. Even the model may have different color options. As of now, three different colors, including Satin-luxe finish, sculpted wood finish, and twill-inspired finish, are confirmed to come.
Motorola once had a very strong smartphone presence in India. Over time, brands like Vivo, iQOO, Xiaomi, and OnePlus captured a large share of the premium Android market.
The Edge series has become important for Motorola because it helps the brand compete against the big brands and tough competitors. Instead of only focusing on budget phones, Motorola is now adding flagship-level features and bringing premium models.

The premium smartphone market in India is becoming crowded. Brands like Vivo and iQOO have gained popularity by offering strong gaming features, fast charging, and camera-focused devices.
Motorola’s Edge 70 Pro may help the company attract younger buyers looking for an all-around phone. If the pricing stays competitive, the phone could give Motorola a stronger position in the premium Android segment.
