Motorola is gearing up to reveal its next flagship smartphone, Motorola Edge 70, in India, following its successful launch in several global markets. While the company has not officially announced a release date, industry speculation suggests that the phone is expected to go on sale in early 2026.
Motorola Edge 70 has been spotted in multiple certification databases, indicating that the phone may be released soon, with India being one of the first countries to receive it.
Motorola Edge 70, expected to replace the Edge 60, boasts a futuristic design and top-notch hardware, targeting the premium mid-range segment.
Motorola Edge 70 boasts an astonishingly thin frame of only 5.99mm and weighs just 159g, making it the slimmest and lightest smartphone in its category. The 6.67-inch POLED Super HD display features a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ certification, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, all wrapped in Gorilla Glass 7i.
Given Motorola's pursuit of premium aesthetics and durability, the Edge 70 is undoubtedly an upgrade from its predecessor. Additionally, the device features IP68/IP69 ratings and meets the MIL-STD-810H standard for resistance to dust, water, and shock.
Globally, the phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen4 chipset, paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device runs Android 16 out of the box and promises security updates until June 2031.
A 4,800mAh silicon-carbon battery powers the device. It is also supported by 68W TurboPower wired charging and 15W wireless charging for fast and efficient power replenishment.
In terms of optics, Motorola Edge 70 is equipped with a dual rear camera system of 50MP each: a main sensor that has OIS, an ultra-wide, and a light sensor that can perform 3 functions. The 50MP front camera will provide high-quality selfies and clear video calls, thanks to the use of AI image processing techniques.

Motorola’s ThinkShield security suite, in-display fingerprint scanning, and face unlock offer extra privacy. The smartphone also provides 5G, Wi-Fi 6E, NFC, and USB Type-C port connectivity. It is equipped with dual stereo speakers that integrate Dolby Atmos, enhancing the multimedia experience.
Globally, Motorola Edge 70 is priced at £699.98, approximately Rs. 81,000. However, according to reports, its price in India could be close to Rs. 35,000, which positions it as a worthy member of the upper mid-range segment.
The new model is expected to launch in three Pantone-certified colors: Bronze Green, Lily Pad, and Gadget Grey, as Motorola looks to combine performance, style, and durability in its next big release.
