Meta has expanded its smart glasses lineup with the brand-new ‘Meta Glasses,’ developed in partnership with EssilorLuxottica. The company says the new portfolio focuses on offering more style choices while strengthening the AI-powered features central to its wearable technology strategy.
The lineup includes three distinct designs: Meta Adventurer with a classic rectangular frame, the bold and modern Meta Fury, and Meta Glasses by Kylie, a special edition created with Kylie Jenner. This marks Jenner’s first venture into wearable technology. The glasses are priced at $299, excluding Ray-Ban models.
Meta also emphasizes personalization by providing 26 style combinations of frame colors and lenses. The latter includes options such as clear, polarized, Transitions, sun, and prescription lenses. You can add prescription lenses from your preferred optician without invalidating the warranty.
The eyewear is packed with advanced features, including Meta AI, open-ear speakers, and advanced microphones. It also offers a hands-free experience for capturing photos and videos, making calls, messaging, and issuing voice commands. The battery lasts more than 8 hours on a single charge, while the charging case provides an additional 40 hours of use.
Meta also launched an updated version of the AI model known as Muse Spark. This virtual assistant can detect what the user is looking at, assist with managing appointments, promote healthy behaviors, give walking directions, enable dynamic photography, and offer real-time translation into Hindi, Japanese, Korean, and Mandarin Chinese.
