LG Electronics (LG) will shake up the gaming world with its UltraGear GX9 series. The world's first bendable 5K2K OLED gaming monitor, 45GX990A, is among them. The LG bendable monitor news will officially be announced at CES 2025 in January. Although the product has already garnered three CES 2025 Innovation Awards, including the "Best of Innovation".
The UltraGear GX9 series, 45GX990A, and the 45GX950A will come with 45-inch OLED displays. It will also have ultra-high 5K2K resolution at 5,120 x 2,160. Advanced WOLED technology by LG will be for vibrant colors, high brightness, and true blacks. The UltraGear GX9 series features will also include curved displays designed to maximize immersion. The 21:9 aspect ratio will enable a gamer to see his content in a way a 16:9 view could not.
The 45GX990A is the world's first bendable 5K2K OLED gaming monitor. It will transition smoothly from flat to 900R curvature. Thus, gamers will be able to adjust their setup according to personal preference.
The monitor also offers LG's second-generation Dual-Mode functionality. This enables users to switch between different aspect ratios (21:9 or 16:9) and screen sizes (39, 34, or 27-inch). It will also adjust with a single touch for versatile gameplay according to different genres.
The 45GX990A and 45GX950A models have ultra-fast 0.03ms (GtG) response times, which provide smoother gameplay and increased immersion. These displays are also equipped with DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C with 90W power delivery for maximum support on newer gaming consoles and graphics cards.
Moreover, these monitors are certified by NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to reduce screen tearing, hence giving an ultra-smooth gaming experience. WebOS will power the LG UltraGear GX9 series. Thus, users can access their favorite streaming services without needing a PC or set-top box.
The UltraGear GX9 series will be released worldwide in Q1 2025. Pricing is to be announced either at CES 2025 or as part of the global launch.
