India's gaming industry is looking at new ways to grow after the ban on real-money gaming. The gaming industry across the globe is booming, and companies are now more inclined toward competitive gaming or esports.

Let’s Game Now has taken a major step in this direction. The company has raised Rs. 30 crore in funding from a round led by industrialist Anand Mahindra, Bestvantage Investments, and an unnamed family office based in the UAE. Additionally, the company has backing from renowned Bollywood personalities like Ranveer Singh and Abhishek Bachchan, which strengthens its connections with the entertainment world.

Reportedly, the company has plans to use the latest raised amount in developing the Indian Super Gaming League (ISGL), a new franchise-based gaming competition. Currently, the company has a presence in more than 18 countries with 400 colleges and around 700,000 students.

While talking about the investment, Santanu Basu, CEO of Let’s Game Now, has mentioned, “This round marks an important new chapter for Let’s Game Now. The backing of strategic investors and leaders from business and entertainment strengthens our vision to build the Indian Super Gaming League into a major gaming and entertainment property.”

ISGL is the main part of Let’s Game Now's growth plan. The company wants to give esports a format that is closer to traditional sports. Teams could compete in regular seasons, while fans would have more chances to follow their favorite players.

Why Gaming Companies are Turning to Long-Term Leagues

Single tournaments attract large crowds, but the interest will be for a short period. I n comparison, regular leagues offer a chance to build a loyal fan base. Team ownership can also bring new investors into esports. Seasonal matches give fans a reason to return and follow the competition.

This format will open up a new way for Indian gamers to earn money. Gaming companies can work with brands on long-term deals, sell media rights, and build partnerships around teams and players. Still, a league needs regular viewers and strong sponsors to stay active. Let’s Game Now will have to show that its gaming community can support a full season of competition.

Building a lasting league will take more than money. ISGL must attract teams, keep fans interested, and find sponsors who are ready to support it over several seasons.
