Lenovo may soon launch the first detachable Googlebook. The Googlebook Duet m has moved closer to release after its keyboard and stylus showed up in US regulatory filings.
Google said at last week's Android Dev Summit that Googlebooks will soon come in more shapes. So far, the lineup has only clamshell and convertible laptops. The first Googlebooks arrived in September, and none of them had a detachable design.
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has listed two new Lenovo accessories. One is a Bluetooth keyboard with the ID O57DUET13BTKB. The other is a stylus with the ID O57AP501U1.
The keyboard papers show Googlebook branding on the left palm rest. The drawings also show pogo-pin connectors. These pins let the keyboard snap onto the tablet and connect directly. So the keyboard won't depend only on Bluetooth.
Earlier leaks had already shown clear images of the device and its accessories. The new filings add more proof that the product is real and on its way.

Leaks say the Duet m could have a 13-inch screen and 16GB of RAM. It may run on a MediaTek Dimensity CX C10 Max chip.
That chip could help Android apps run better than they do on Googlebooks with Intel processors. Still, Lenovo has not confirmed any of these details. It has also not shared a launch date or a price.
A detachable Google Book would give people two devices in one. They could use it as a tablet for touch tasks. They could then attach the keyboard when they need to type or work.
Google's plan to add detachable models shows it wants Googlebooks to reach more buyers. Lenovo's filings suggest the Duet m is getting close. For now, though, its release date and final specs remain unconfirmed.
