Lava, the Indian smartphone manufacturer, has announced its upcoming device, the Lava Blaze Duo, set to launch on December 16 at 12 PM IST. The smartphone will be available exclusively through Amazon, as revealed on a dedicated microsite. This teaser highlights key features such as a dual-display setup, sleek design, and robust specifications, building excitement ahead of its release.
The Lava Blaze Duo will have a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED main screen with an appropriate refresh rate of 120Hz. Accompanying it is a 1.58-inch secondary AMOLED display on the rear panel. This second screen helps users handle calls, view notifications, control the music playing, and even take selfies. The design is inspired by the Lava Agni 3, released earlier with the secondary screen idea.
The smartphone will be available only in two colours, Arctic White and Celestial Blue, and it will have a matte finish, giving it an even more magnificent look.
The key component in the Lava Blaze Duo is the MediaTek Dimensity 7025 5G chip, which, according to Lava, provides rather solid performance levels and an AnTuTu score of more than 500,000 points. For storage, the device will be available with 6GB and 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM that can be further extended through virtual RAM. It also packs 128 GB UFS 3.1 storage space for efficient data storage and enough room for applications and files.
The Lava Blaze Duo comes with Android 14-based UI out of the box and will be eligible for an upgrade to Android 15 for the latest software features and security updates.
The smartphone offers a main 64MP back camera, integrating Sony technology to ensure the clarity of the shots. It also has a 16MP front shooter for selfie modes and supports a secondary display for capturing images.
The Lava Blaze Duo will have a powerful 5,000 mAh battery to support its features. The device's fast charging is 33W, so one can always recharge and stay connected throughout the day. An in-display fingerprint sensor makes the smartphone secure, meaning the fingerprint owner can only unlock the phone.
The Lava Blaze Duo is scheduled to go on sale on Amazon India, and the exact price tag will be announced during the launch event. The Lava Blaze Duo will create market interest as a mid-range smartphone model with different features and competitive specifications.
