Infinix AI, a new platform aimed at developing and integrating cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) experiences for the company’s devices, was introduced last week.
At the heart of this innovative platform is Folax, an AI-powered virtual assistant capable of processing text, voice, and image inputs. Folax generates real-time responses and can perform all the typical tasks associated with chatbots, enhancing user interaction and experience.
Alongside the introduction of Folax, Infinix has also unveiled several new AI features that will soon be integrated into their devices, although specific smartphones slated to receive these features have yet to be disclosed.
In a recent press release, the consumer tech brand outlined its plans to develop and power AI experiences in compatible devices. This platform is comparable to Galaxy AI in Samsung devices or Gemini Nano in Google Pixel smartphones. Folax has been enhanced with both internal proprietary models and external AI models, including advanced systems like GPT-4o and Gemini.
In addition to the AI chatbot assistant, several noteworthy AI features were revealed. Live Text is a text summarization tool designed to process information from documents and images alike. Another innovative feature is Writing Tools, which offers users real-time grammar checks, content rewriting, and style enhancements. This tool is capable of generating text for emails, reports, or creative projects, optimizing the clarity, tone, and precision of written content.
The Magic Create feature serves as a text-based assistant for users engaged in creative projects. It can generate songs, storyboards, social media captions, and more, allowing users to input concepts that the AI can transform into completed creations. Additionally, the Visual Look Up feature can analyze images and provide contextual information, with particular emphasis on landmarks and cultural sites.
Infinix also introduced AI Wallpaper, which generates customized wallpapers that are regionally aware. Users can take personal images and transform them into unique wallpapers, with the feature adding cultural context to the visuals rather than applying generic stylization.
Lastly, two more features, AI Eraser and AI Sketch, were unveiled. As their names suggest, AI Eraser can remove unwanted elements from images, while AI Sketch converts rough diagrams into polished sketches. Both features share similarities with those found in Galaxy AI, offering users enhanced image editing capabilities.
With these advancements, Infinix AI aims to redefine the user experience on smartphones, promising a blend of creativity, functionality, and personalization.
