Rockstar Games did not reveal GTA 6 online yet. However, rumors about the mode have been circulating for a long time. While players were speculating a 2027 or 2028 launch for the mode, the Twitch CEO,Dan Clancy, fueled up the discussion with new information.
In a Bloomberg interview, Clancy said Rockstar plans to launch the multiplayer mode in 2027, though he did not mention a month or exact date. The discussion began with how major developers are rescheduling their games to 2027 to avoid competition with Rockstar’s GTA 6. At one point, he mentioned that the GTA 6 frenzy will continue the next year as well.
He stated, “We spent a lot of time talking with Rockstar about their plans, and also helping them think about how they can engage our creators.” The Twitch CEO further continued, “You are going to see this big bump with GTA 6, but then an even bigger one next year when they launch multiplayer.”
Clancy also sees GTA 6 as a huge opportunity for Twitch. Clancy expects GTA 6 to bring a big rise in Twitch activity when the game launches on November 19, 2026. He believes the multiplayer launch could create an even bigger jump in 2027.
GTA 6 already become one of the biggest names in gaming. Every new trailer, screenshot, and update brings fresh discussion online. The November 2026 launch is likely to give streamers a huge amount of new content.
