Google has found an interesting way to show what its new Googlebook laptop can do. TThe company has partnered with actor Henry Cavill to create a 16-bit video game called Mustache Protocol. The gameplay follows a funny idea about stopping rogue CGI artists from every mustache in the world.
Now this apparently looks like a simple joke, but there’s more to it. This entire game is developed using the AI tools available on the HP Googlebook 14. The game isn’t yet available to play, but when the game launches, Google will donate ‘USD 11 for every play during the month of November’ as part of the partnership. As announced, the company will donate up to USD 500,000 to ‘help support awareness and funding for men’s mental health, suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.’ The money will go to Movember to support men’s health.
Google did not choose Cavill only because he is a famous actor. He is also a big fan of gaming and technology. He has spoken about his love for building PCs and playing video games. This makes him a good fit for a project that brings gaming and AI together.
The company is also using this project to show what Googlebook can do. According to the announcement, until the game launches, players can check how “Henry designed the hero character, vibe coded meme-inspired superpowers, and added to the game’s soundtrack.”

Most laptop ads focus on speed, design, and battery life. Google's campaign takes a different path. It shows how AI can help someone create something from scratch.
This also shows how celebrity ads are changing. Brands are now using the skills and interests of famous people to show how their products work. Cavill is not just talking about Googlebook. He is using it to make something of his own. Google wants people to see that its new laptop is more than a device for everyday tasks. The real test will be whether these tools are useful to regular users.
