Google has announced that university students in India can now access Google AI Pro membership absolutely free for one year. Valued at Rs. 1,950 per month, the offer amounts to a total savings of Rs. 21,450 and will be available until September 15, 2025.
This opportunity allows eligible students to access Google's most innovative AI models, including Gemini 2.5 Pro and Deep Research, which provide powerful generative AI capabilities. The subscription also provides tools such as Veo 3, Google's latest video generation platform. Whisk is also included, which allows you to convert image-to-video or text-to-media.
Students will receive 1,000 AI credits per month, usable across Gemini Flow and Whisk platforms for a range of creative tasks, like video scripting, image editing, and document generation. Moreover, the plan enhances productivity with up to 5x more Audio Overviews and expanded NotebookLM features, which are useful for summarizing lectures and preparing notes.
Google is also providing 2TB of cloud storage, which is shared across Gmail, Drive, and Photos. This will assist students in collaborating and easily storing potentially large files for their academic and creative needs. The Gemini model's integration within Docs, Sheets, and Slides will enable efficient and seamless AI-assisted collaboration.
If students are eligible for the offer, they must follow specific steps to redeem it. Students must be 18 years or older and reside in India. They will then need to verify their status with SheerID, with a valid university email address or ID card. To activate the plan, students will need a Google Payments account to make a payment via UPI, credit card, or debit card.
