God of War: Laufey pre-orders are now live. PlayStation 5 players can book their copies ahead of the official launch of the game on February 16, 2027. Presently, players can pre-order two versions of the game:
Standard Edition, which includes the base game and pre-order bonuses, including the Last Wish Armor Set, Phranque Golden Leaves Appearance, and an in-game resource pack. Players have to spend USD 69.99 to pre-order this edition, which is around Rs. 6715 in Indian currency.
Digital Deluxe Edition, which will have extra items like the Dark Alchemy collection, a digital mini artbook, and the official soundtrack, along with the pre-order bonuses. This edition costs USD 79.99, and Indian gamers have to spend Rs. 7,677 for this version.
This upcoming entry will make Faye the central character with a different look and a range of different abilities. Santa Monica Studios has announced that she will have her new Serpent Bow and its different firing modes, arrow types, and customization options. The game also puts more focus on weapons, gear, and character upgrades. These features are expected to give players more freedom during fights and in building Faye’s abilities.
The Serpent Bow adds a different combat style and gives players more options in battle. This helps the game move beyond the usual close-range fights seen in the series. Similarly, Hip Fire mode offers Faye close-range fighting abilities, and she will be able to fire a cluster of arrows at once. The rapid-fire system will help players deal with airborne enemies and extend combos while Faye switches between abilities.
The gears can be customized based on the enemy players are going to deal with. For example, the Serpent Bow can be equipped with different Serpent Scales, which not only changes its appearance, but also changes the perks of the weapon.
With pre-orders now open, God of War: Laufey is bringing a fresh take to the popular series. Its focus on Faye, new combat options, and customization could offer players a different God of War experience while keeping the elements that fans know.
