Samsung is preparing an upgraded version of its Privacy Display technology for the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra. The two premium smartphones are also expected to feature brighter screens for improved outdoor visibility.
According to SamMobile, the upgraded display technology will be limited to the Pro and Ultra models. The standard Galaxy S27 and Galaxy S27+ are not expected to receive Privacy Display, keeping the feature exclusive to Samsung’s top-tier models.
The Galaxy S26 Ultra introduced Privacy Display earlier this year. Samsung is now expected to improve the feature, with the Galaxy S27 Pro becoming the first non-Ultra model in the series to receive it.
SamMobile said both the Galaxy S27 Pro and Galaxy S27 Ultra will use the upgraded version. The technology is designed to improve screen privacy, while the brightness enhancement is expected to make the displays easier to view in direct sunlight.
The report does not specify what changes Samsung is making to Privacy Display or provide brightness figures for either phone. The company has not officially announced the Galaxy S27 series or confirmed the features.
The two premium models are expected to share camera specifications. Previous reports cited by SamMobile suggest that both could feature a 200-megapixel primary rear camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with autofocus, and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera.
However, the telephoto cameras could distinguish the Pro from the Ultra. The Galaxy S27 Pro is likely to have a 10-megapixel or 12-megapixel telephoto lens, while the Galaxy S27 Ultra is expected to include a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 5x optical zoom.
These camera details remain based on earlier reports and have not been confirmed by Samsung.

If the reported plans materialize, Samsung will extend Privacy Display to two devices while keeping it out of the standard Galaxy S27 and S27+. This would give buyers a reason to consider the higher-end models.
The display and camera details remain leaks. Samsung has not yet announced the Galaxy S27 lineup or confirmed its specifications.
