KelpDAO Freezes Funds After Exploit

An attack was registered on September 15 against a Gnosis Safe wallet user, who has not yet been identified. The recent exploit involved a wrapped form of rsETH, which was then transformed into ETH and moved on-chain.

The wallet was exploited for USD 7.73 million in rsETH, according to Blockaid data. The wallet was drained in a single transaction, involving the equivalent of 2,153 ETH, which was later split and moved across multiple wallets.

The initial transaction shows the funds were finally parked in rsETH, without being swapped into ETH on the main chain for further laundering.

Ark Invest Sells USD 14 Million in Circle

Ethereum's Q2 Revenue Surges

Ethereum’s operational performance during Q2 2026 reflected an all-time record in transactional activity alongside a 112.2% increase in quarterly revenue, even as its active user base declined.

Token Terminal indicates that the network processed 203.9 million transactions between April and June. This figure represents a 1.7% sequential increase over the previous quarter and a 68.4% rise compared to the same period in 2025.

In contrast, the monthly average of active users fell 30% to 9.2 million. Meanwhile, the protocol’s fully diluted market capitalization contracted 14.8% during Q2 2026, closing at USD 247.2 billion.

A rebound in network fees drove overall revenue higher. Protocol revenue reached USD 17.1 million for the quarter, more than doubling Q1 figures, though remaining 66% below the levels registered in Q2 2025.

XRP Ledger Set Single Ledger Transaction Record

The XRP Ledger has processed 3,254 transactions in one ledger, setting a reported single-ledger record on September 14. Validator operator Vet reported the figure after reviewing the ledger and said most entries were one-drop XRP payments. He described the activity as a possible throughput test, although the sender’s purpose has not been confirmed.

A drop is one-millionth of one XRP, making it the smallest unit recorded by the network. The high transaction count therefore represented many small transfers, not an unusually large amount of XRP moving between accounts.
