The CKYC Number is helping people open bank accounts and use financial services without submitting the same KYC documents again. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has asked customers to understand this 14 digit ID, which stores verified KYC records in one central system and makes account opening faster.

The Central KYC system allows banks, NBFCs, mutual funds, and insurance companies to access verified records after customer consent. This removes repeated paperwork and makes KYC verification quicker across regulated financial institutions.

The CKYC Number is linked to the Central KYC Records Registry (CKYCR). Once a bank or financial institution completes KYC, the verified details stay in the central database.

Other regulated institutions can use the same record instead of asking for PAN, Aadhaar, and address proof again. This saves time and makes financial services easier for customers.

According to the RBI, customers can find their CKYC Number by contacting their bank, giving a missed call to 7799022129, or checking the official CKYC portal. The central bank also continues its financial awareness campaign with the message, "RBI Kehta Hai, Jaankar Baniye, Satark Rahiye."

Experts believe the CKYC system cuts paperwork, speeds up account opening, and makes banking, insurance, loans, and investments more convenient. A single verified record also helps financial institutions provide faster and more secure services.
