Global crypto exchange Bybit has announced the release of Byreal, a new Solana-based decentralized exchange (DEX). This comes as a major stroke marking the increased fusion of centralized and decentralized finance.
The platform is set to go live on testnet on June 30. It vows to bring the depth of liquidity of an old-school exchange with the openness and composability of on-chain systems.
As a hybrid liquidity network, Byreal aims to bring the depth of CEX markets and DeFi functionality together. Byreal will utilize Request for Quote (RFQ) and Concentrated Liquidity Market Maker (CLMM) routing to make trades with low slippage and miner extractable value (MEV)-protected.
“Byreal isn’t just another DEX,” Bybit CEO Ben Zhou posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. “It’s merging CEX-quality liquidity with DeFi-native transparency. That is true hybrid finance.”
One of Byreal’s defining strengths is its Reset Launch, an equitable launchpad system based on an intelligent price ladder and proprietary Fairshare Engine, aimed at providing a level playing ground for token launches.
The exchange will also introduce Revive Vaults, beginning with bbSOL, a DeFi yield product centered on Solana-based liquid staking.
Bybit says Solana was the natural choice for Byreal, citing the network’s speed, low fees, and scalability. The partnership aims to deepen liquidity and broaden the range of assets and users within Solana’s fast-growing ecosystem.
“We’re proud to work alongside Solana,” Byreal said in an X post. “Byreal is built to add new users, new assets, and new demand to the ecosystem.”
Byreal will be an on-chain layer for trading real, high-demand assets, introducing institutional-grade liquidity to retail and professional users. The platform is Bybit’s continuation of its long-term vision to provide transparent, scalable, and user-first infrastructure in a fast-changing crypto landscape.
“Byreal is designed to convert dispersed liquidity into cohesive opportunity,” the platform further said in an X post.
Bybit’s incursion into hybrid DeFi with Byreal is a milestone in the transition of the industry toward next-generation trading infrastructure. Since Industry players such as Coinbase and Binance are working on similar hybrid architecture, the launch of Byreal is both a technological marvel and a strategic bet on finance’s future.
Whether it can live up to its potential to bring together the raw power of a CEX with the ideals of DeFi remains to be seen. The race is now on for a new era of on-chain trading.
