Krafton is set to bring a new BGMI game for gamers. This time it’s the Lite version for less powerful devices. BGMI Lite could give mobile gamers a new way to play without needing a powerful or expensive phone. As of now, no concrete launch date is announced, but the Google Play Store listing shows a late 2026 release, and pre-registration is started.
Android users can already pre-register on Google Play, and the game is expected to be around 1GB in download size. The iOS version will probably be around 2GB. More details about the iOS and Android launch are still awaited.
This smaller version of the game is mostly designed for players who may not have high-end phones or plenty of free storage. Existing BGMI players will not have to move their accounts to the Lite version. Reports also suggest that BGMI and BGMI Lite could support cross-play, allowing players on both versions to play together. More details are expected before the India launch.
Mobile games keep getting bigger as developers add new maps, events, characters, and visual content. For many users, storage can become a problem long before the phone stops working. A smaller BGMI version could help players save space while still getting the main battle royale experience.
