ASUS has announced its return to India's tablet market with the launch of the ASUS Pad T3201. The Android tablet will go on sale on August 6, marking the company's comeback to a segment it exited several years ago.
ASUS Pad T3201 comes with a 12.2-inch dual-layer OLED screen, which supports a 2.8K resolution along with a 144Hz refresh rate. According to ASUS, this screen provides sharper visuals, more vibrant blacks and smoother scrolling while gaming or watching videos.
This tablet has a 92% screen-to-body ratio, which gives a bigger viewing screen without an increase in the total size.
The device is driven by a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 SoC along with 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM. The device is pre-installed with Android 16 and comes with Circle to Search feature, allowing users to search directly from text or images on the screen. For audio, ASUS has equipped the tablet with four speakers, which support Dolby Atmos technology.
ASUS Pad T3201 is equipped with a 9,000mAh battery that has 45 W fast charging capability. ASUS says the battery is designed to last an entire day under typical usage conditions.
This tablet has a 13 MP camera at the back side, which can be used both for scanning documents and taking photos, as well as a 5 MP front camera for video chats.

ASUS Pad T3201 will be available in India from August 6 through Flipkart, the ASUS eShop, ASUS Exclusive Stores, ROG Stores, Reliance Digital and other authorised retailers.
While ASUS has not yet disclosed the price for the Indian market, it is anticipated that the product will be in the high-end Android tablets segment. Details about pricing and the availability of any accessories are expected closer to the launch.
The launch of the Pad T3201 marks yet another endeavor by ASUS to enter the Indian tablet market, where premium Android tablets have been enjoying success in recent years. The features of the OLED screen, flagship processor, and ample battery suggest that ASUS aims to challenge the already existing competitors in this segment.
