Apple has been engaging its fans with consecutive flagship launches. Following the recent announcement of the MacBook Neo, the Cupertino-based giant is now ready to introduce another MacBook, which is expected to be a pro-range laptop.
The tech giant could be developing a high-end model of its MacBook series. The new MacBook Ultra is expected to come with a touchscreen and an OLED panel. These leaks have been suggested by Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, as Apple has not yet announced the exact details.
Other leaks suggest that the upcoming laptop will be a new category rather than a direct successor to the current MacBook Pro models. The new laptop is expected to co-exist with MacBook Pro models. Both series will be powered by Apple's M5 Max and M5 Pro chips. By introducing MacBook Ultra, the tech company aims to meet the needs of premium buyers while justifying the high cost.

Apart from the above-mentioned details, early reports suggested that Apple may introduce a slimmer design to the MacBook Pro lineup. This could also feature future M6-powered versions. The launch timeline suggested is the end of 2026. Apple might introduce additional premium devices beyond the MacBook Ultra.
According to the latest reports, a foldable iPhone priced close to $2,000 and new AirPods models would also be launched this year. The AirPods are expected to be a premium range of earbuds, a bit more advanced than the existing AirPods Pro models
Apple has not announced any price range for the MacBook Ultra. However, in 2024, when the company introduced the OLED panel on the iPad Pro, prices had jumped by 20%. A similar trend can be expected this time as well.
