Apple TV is no longer exclusive to iPhone users. Since this app was launched, it has been an exclusive streaming app that runs on the iOS operating system. However, the scenario has significantly changed with one official announcement, which informed that this app is no longer an iOS-exclusive app, but Android users can also access it.
Apple TV is now officially on Android. This scheme has been created to expand the fanbase of shows available on this app. Restricting this app’s offerings to iOS users only leaves behind a massive audience base, but the California-based tech giant isn’t ready to let it go without any solution. So, it has come up with this unique strategy of going cross-platform and expanding the business.
Apple TV on Android devices sounds strange, but the official announcement revealed, “With the Apple TV app on Android, Android users can now subscribe to Apple TV+, which offers compelling drama and comedy series, feature films, groundbreaking documentaries, and kids and family entertainment.”
Currently, Apple TV has loads of immensely popular shows. At a time when shows like Silo are going viral worldwide, and movie lovers are looking forward to getting Severance second part, the opportunity to enjoy Severance part 1 came to Android users unexpectedly.
The announcement mentioned that Apple TV is coming with almost all the renowned shows, including Severance, Presumed Innocent, Shrinking, Hijack, Slow Horses, The Morning Show, Loot, Palm Royale, Masters of the Air, and Ted Lasso. The best part is watching these doesn’t need any subscription. However, with a subscription to Apple TV+, one can enjoy Apple Original films like Wolfs, The Instigators, The Family Plan, Killers of the Flower Moon, CODA, etc.
The launch of Apple TV on Google Play Store will bring this U.S. tech giant loads of business and speed up revenue generation. This is basically part of Apple’s strategy to increase revenue, as it is currently suffering with its hardware in countries like China.
Apple TV is on Google Play Store, that’s true, but it is only compatible with devices running on Android version 10 or higher. Lower Android versions won’t handle it. Additionally, for Android users, the Apple TV+ comes with a seven-day free trial, and the most interesting feature of this app is that users can continue watching their favorite shows across devices.
