Apple’s online shop has gone dark, which historically precedes huge product news announcements. The ‘Awe Dropping’ event at 10:30 PM IST from Apple Park in Cupertino will reveal the technology giant’s most aggressive hardware changes in years.

The spotlight is on iPhone 17 Air, which is said to be only 5.5mm thick, the thinnest iPhone yet. Industry reports indicate that the ultra-thin design has its trade-offs, such as a reduced battery and a single camera at the back. This is in addition to Apple launching the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, and iPhone 17 Pro Max.

The Pro models will likely sport an eye-catching full-width rear camera setup and a back-to-aluminum build. At the same time, the regular iPhone 17 could finally obtain the 120Hz ProMotion display that has been Pro-only until now.

New Apple Watches, the Series 11 and Ultra 3, will likely be satellite texting-compatible, while AirPods Pro 3 could monitor heart rate.

Visitors trying to enter the Apple Store are met with the ubiquitous ‘Be right back’ screen, a testament to Apple’s launch strategy. The store usually resumes business after announcements with new product listings and prices. Pre-ordering for the latest devices will begin on Friday, with general availability in September.

With its combination of ultrathin styling, camera technology, and wearable tech enhancements, Apple’s latest event may be one of the most ambitious hardware debuts in years.
