Apple versioned and released iOS 26 developer beta 6 with build number 23A5318c via the Developer Portal. Just a week after beta 5, Apple has begun releasing weekly updates, with the final launch scheduled for this fall. With only slight changes, these updates aim at enhancing user experience through smoother animations, better performance, and pure polish.

In essence, the features described at WWDC 2025 on June 9 have passed through various beta stages, reaching the second beta just after the announcement. A public release is in sight for September 2025, probably together with the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the supposed iPhone 17 Air.

By combining its enhancements in performance, design, and customization, iOS 26 intends to bring a faster, smoother, and more elegant experience to the iPhone when it launches. Here is what iOS 26 beta 6 features bring in new ringtones and redesigned elements.

What’s New in Apple iOS 26?

iOS 26 new features in developer beta 6 introduce notable improvements across four key areas, enhancing design, performance, and overall user experience.

  • New Ringtones: Some contemporary reinterpretations of the Reflection tone: Buoyant, Dreamer, Pond, Pop, Reflected, and Surge, with a completely new Little Bird ringtone.

  • New Onboarding Experience: People are offered a refined startup walkthrough letting them know about the revamped Liquid Glass design and main UI changes

  • Camera Mode Switcher: The toggle for Classic Mode has been removed; the updated swipe behavior remains the fixed default with no option to revert.

  • UI Redesign: Now, the whole visual structure across the OS is honored with the Liquid Glass styling, characterized by the power of translucency and color dispersion. Launching and closing apps find themselves animated more quickly with a subtle bounce in 'genie-style.'

These updates have been polished to enhance the iOS visual and tactile experience by blending refined aesthetics with functional fluidity.

Final Thoughts

iOS 26 Beta 6 release will update all Apple mobile OS’s with new ringtones, more graceful onboarding, simplified switching between camera modes, and the refined Liquid Glass UI. With subtle enhancements, the navigation becomes snappier; the visuals shine with vibrancy and life; and interactions glide smoothly.

Apple iOS 26 download (Beta version) is now available, bringing enhanced security, new customization options, and improved performance to supported devices. These changes, though tiny on paper, bring together a more refined and polished experience; a testament to Apple's move toward a seamless release, one that is visually immersive, scheduled for September.
