As anticipation builds ahead of Apple’s expected launch this September, the internet is heating up with what could be iPhone 17 Pro’s leaked images. A series of photos shared on an X account called @Skyfops show a person operating a mysterious device that is rumored to be the Apple iPhone 17 Prototype, the company’s upcoming flagship device. If the sighting is genuine, then this will be one of the most significant pre-launch leaks in years.
The pictures show a person holding a phone in a bulky black case, with another individual, possibly a security guard, shielding the device from view. Though details are hard to confirm due to low resolution, the phone’s camera bump and lens arrangement closely align with previously leaked iPhone 17 Pro renders.
A small white element on the top right edge of the phone, possibly a new secondary camera button, has also caught the eye of tech enthusiasts.
The incident is similar to the famous 2010 iPhone 4 leak, when a prototype was left behind in a bar, leading to massive media coverage and legal fallout. While this device wasn’t abandoned, its appearance in public has drawn comparisons to that historic event.
