Aerodrome Finance's AERO token rose 17.05% to about USD 0.635 as trading activity increased across the Base ecosystem. Its 24-hour trading volume jumped 303% to USD 161 million. The sharp rise comes as Aerodrome maintains its role as a major decentralized exchange and liquidity hub on Base.

Growing attention around Base DeFi and tokenized assets has also supported market interest. AERO has moved above the USD 0.60 level, placing USD 0.70 as the next price area traders may watch. A move below USD 0.60 could instead bring USD 0.55 back into focus.

AERO Trading Volume Jumps 303% as Base Activity Rises

Aerodrome Finance launched in August 2023 as a decentralized exchange and automated market maker built for Coinbase's Base network. The protocol aims to concentrate liquidity across the ecosystem.

Aerodrome uses the ve(3,3) token model, which connects incentives for liquidity providers, traders, and governance participants. Users can lock AERO and receive veAERO voting power and rewards.

Meanwhile, the exchange sends revenue to veAERO voters. This structure links governance participation with trading activity and protocol revenue generated through the platform.

The recent 303% increase in AERO trading volume signals a sharp rise in market participation. Still, AERO's next moves depend partly on whether Base activity continues supporting token demand.

Locked AERO Supply Could Influence the 2026 Price Outlook

Aerodrome has acquired and locked more than 184 million AERO through its Public Goods Fund, Flight School, and other initiatives. Those tokens remain unavailable for immediate market selling.

The locking mechanism reduces the portion of AERO that holders can sell immediately. At the same time, continued demand would determine whether reduced liquid supply supports stronger price stability.

Aerodrome's Slipstream liquidity system also remains central to its trading infrastructure. Higher Base trading volume could therefore increase activity across the protocol and its liquidity pools.

For the rest of 2026, market attention will center on Base trading volume, protocol fees, and AERO locking. Continued growth across those areas could strengthen momentum around the token.

Tokenized Stocks Add Another Growth Theme for Aerodrome

Tokenized stocks have gained attention as blockchain platforms increase access to digital versions of traditional equities. Market participants continue watching adoption, liquidity, and new platform offerings.

Aerodrome has drawn attention to the growing role of productive tokenized assets. Meanwhile, platforms such as Bitget have introduced offerings that broaden access to tokenized equities.

The trend links traditional financial assets with blockchain infrastructure. It also places Aerodrome within a wider Base DeFi and tokenization narrative as digital asset platforms develop new trading products.

Traders continue monitoring adoption rates and regulatory developments around tokenized equities. Liquidity growth and integration with existing financial systems could also influence activity across tokenized asset markets through 2030.
