Cisco needs a Software Engineer who specializes in C programming operating systems and data structures to create and improve features used in NXOS-based data center switches. The team will develop high-performance software products for major customers while they manage feature development and testing and integration work and continuous product enhancement and they will work with experts from different fields to create dependable and expandable systems.

Develop new features and enhancements for data center switches used by leading global customers.
Participate in feature development, testing, and integration into customer environments.
Interact with subject matter experts (SMEs), testing teams, and customer teams to translate requirements into working solutions.
Build expertise in data center products and storage or networking protocols.
Learn and work within Cisco’s development and unit-test environments.
Actively participate in issue triage, monitor system performance, and drive timely resolutions.
Collaborate within a strong technical community to learn from experts and grow professionally.
Experience: 5 to 8 years
Education: Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE/EC or equivalent
Skills Required:
Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in C
Strong understanding of Operating System concepts and system programming on UNIX-based systems
Knowledge of Network and Multithreaded programming
Exposure to Storage protocols
Exposure to Fiber Channel standards
Exposure to L2/L3 protocols
Experience working with switch/router products
Experience with Python
