As a Business Intelligence Engineer at Amazon, you will:
Design, refine, and maintain ETL pipelines and write testable, scalable code for automation.
Use tools like Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, and Power BI for data visualization and business insights.
Apply statistical techniques such as t-tests and Chi-squared tests to extract actionable insights.
Build mid-size BI solutions to answer key business questions using best practices in BI and data analysis.
Understand data lineage, from source to consumption, and ensure metrics are well-defined and accurate.
Partner with fellow engineers to troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes, and implement fixes.
2+ years' experience analyzing data using Redshift, Oracle, or NoSQL databases
Experience in building data models, writing SQL queries, and developing ETL solutions
Proficient with BI tools like Tableau, QuickSight, or Power BI
Skilled in scripting languages (Python, Java, or R)
Understanding of regression and statistical modeling
Master’s degree or advanced technical degree
Experience with statistical and correlation analysis
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to optimize BI processes and automate reporting systems
