Hyundai Creates Metaverse Service Station to View the 3D Replica of Locations

The emergence of the first metaverse service station is here to transform the virtual platform 

Hyundai Oilbank has created a digital all-in-one service station inside the metaverse, a platform that users can access to visit a 3D model of the site. The virtual station was designed to promote other business areas of the company as well as its wide range of fuel options for drivers.

The company published a press release stating that the hybrid energy station can be accessed through PCs and smart devices, according to a report by local news site Aju Business Daily. Customers can access Hyundai Oilbank's channel and use the station's facilities to fuel vehicles with fossil fuel, hydrogen, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), and electricity.

The metaverse is a virtual world where users may interact with one another through their customized avatars and participate in different social and economic activities. The virtual station was built using Zepeto, a metaverse platform developed by Naver, which allows 250 million people to construct their own 3D avatars using face recognition.

Despite the fact that metaverse is still in its early stages of deployment, corporations are investing in its development and looking for future commercial potential.

The media outlet quoted Emergen Research's projection of the technology's global market and stated that it is projected to grow from US$47.7 billion in 2020 to US$828.95 billion in 2028.
