According to reports, Pokémon Go has announced a brand-new Catch Mastery event featuring Archen, a popular Flying-type Pokémon.
Players should prepare for the fourth Catch Mastery event for Archen, which will be available as a reward for completing Field Research tasks. Most importantly, the upcoming event is scheduled as follows:
March 15, 2025 (10 AM to 8 PM Local Time)

The Pokemon Go Catch Mastery Event will feature three types of research, rewarding players differentially:
Field Research Task Encounters: This task will test players’ Poké Ball throwing capacity. After completing the task, Archen will appear as a reward. Lucky participants can expect a shiny one.
Paid Timed Research: $2 is required to access the event, rewarding players with 40 additional Archen encounters.
Timed Research: Capturing Rock-type Pokemon will be the mission for the players. Fans can collect over 40 Archen to complete 10 research sets, with an increased chance of getting Shiny Archen. The tasks should be finished and rewards must be collected before March 16, 2025, at 8 PM Local Time.
Besides these research tasks, players can have some interesting wild Pokemon encounters. Omanyte and Kabuto Pokémon will make their way into the wild. Lucky players can get a Shiny variant.
There is an increased chance of obtaining Shiny Archen, Shiny Kabuto, and Shiny Omanyte.
Double XP for successfully obtaining Pokemon with Curveball Throws.
