Events are kind of a common thing in Pokémon GO, and currently, the entire community is buzzing with excitement as the annual Bug Out event has returned to the game, and the dates are set for March 2025. As per the current updates, this event is scheduled for March 26 to March 30. The best part about this upcoming event is that it is bringing a Pokemon species from the Galar region, named Sizzlipede. Expectedly, this event will offer gamers loads of bug-themed activities.
For players who are unaware, Sizzlipede is a Radiator Pokémon of dual type: Fire and Bug. This Pokémon was first discovered in the Galar region. Pokémon GO is bringing the opportunity to players to encounter Sizzlipede in different ways during the Bug Out event:
Wild Encounters: Sizzlipede appears more frequently in the wild. The best time to encounter this Pokémon is when the Lure Modules are active.
One-Star Raids: Trainers can challenge Sizzlipede in one-star raids. This provides trainers with a new opportunity to catch this Pokémon.
Timed Research Tasks: Finally, some of the event-specific tasks will also lead players to meet Sizzlipede in the Pokemon GO Bug Out event.
Now, when it comes to the evolution of this bug-type Pokemon, Trainers need to gather 50 Sizzlipede Candies. Using these candies, one can evolve it to its highest formidable form, Centiskorch. Once evolved into Centiskorch, this bug-type Pokemon shows impressive stats and a unique typing that makes it a valuable asset for battles and raids.
The Bug Out 2025 event contains multiple bonuses to enhance the gameplay experience:
Double XP: Every time trainers catch Pokémon with Nice Throws or better, they will get twice the experience points.
Increased Candy: The next thing one will get at this event is additional candies. Whenever one catches Pokémon with Nice Throws or better, they will get additional candies for faster evolutions and power-ups.
Increased Candy XL: Once again, trainers who are at level 31 or above have a heightened chance of receiving Candy XL for successful capture with Nice Throws or better.
Lure Module Enhancements: This is one of the most exciting ones. Once activated, Lure Modules will attract Sizzlipede more frequently. That’s not all; if one catches enough Pokémon with the help of a single Lure Module, extra Pokémon will appear near the lured PokéStop.
Shiny Encounters: Shiny Pokémon are one of the major attractions in Pokemon GO, and during this event, the chances of encountering Shiny Pokémon will be increased significantly. Especially, one can have an increased chance of encountering Shiny versions of Wurmple and Venipede.
Throughout the Bug Out event, the developers have loads of surprises for gamers. For example, several bug-type Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild and will offer trainers ample opportunities to catch and complete their Pokédex:
Common Wild Encounters: Caterpie, Weedle, Wurmple, Nincada, Venipede, Dwebble, Joltik, Grubbin, Dewpider, and Nymble.
Rare Encounter: Cutiefly.
One-Star Raids: Shiny Scyther and Shiny Nincada,
Three-Star Raids: Shiny Beedrill, Shiny Scizor, and Shiny Kleavor.
Like always, several event-themed Field Research tasks will be available in the game that will offer gamers Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Apart from that, a free Timed Research opportunity will be available, which will offer different rewards to trainers like Lure Module and encounters with Pokémon like Shedinja, Sizzlipede, and Kleavor.
Here one thing that should be noted is that Timed Research tasks often expire. So trainers should complete the tasks and claim rewards before March 30, 2025.
The Bug Out event of Pokémon GO this year is not only arranged as a celebration for bug-type Pokémon in the game, but also it introduces the fiery Sizzlipede to the game. With a range of different bonuses like increased Shiny Pokémon and diverse raid battles, gamers have plenty of reasons to participate in this upcoming event.
