Location: Yamashiro Province, Little Leaf Glade, Sarumaru Shrine (west of Hijiyama Fort)

Details: Players must make their way to the Little Leaf Glade, located on the southeast side of the Yamashiro province. Once there, follow the stone steps at Sarumaru Shrine up the hill to find three macaques sitting before a Buddha statue. They can be located in any season, but the time must be at night.

Location: Wakasa Province, Lake Suigetsu
Time: Day
Season: Winter
Details: To find this legendary in-game creature, players have to make their way to the southeast of the Amiko Estate. There, they will find the Lake Suigetsu area of Wakasa. These legendary birds will be there, but they can only be found during winter.
Rewards: 500 XP and Wall Decoration—Legendary Grey Heron Sumi-e
Location: Yamato Province, Yoshino, Sakura Meadow
Time: Night
Season: Spring
Details: Players have to make their way to the southern subregion of the Yamato province. This area is located southeast of the Mountain Blossom Pagoda Viewpoint. As players progress, they will end up in Sakura Meadow, where this legendary creature will be found during the nighttime of Spring.
Rewards: 500 XP and Wall Decoration—Legendary Deer Sumi-e.
Location: Kii Province, Nakahechi Route, Kamimisu Inari Shrine
Time: Night
Season: Autumn (Fall)
Details: Move toward the southern region of Kii. From there, make way to the Kamimisu Inari Shrine in the Nakahechi Route area of Kii. The Fox will be found at the top of the shrine howling at the moon. Remember, it must be an Autumn night.
Rewards: 500 XP and Wall Decoration—Legendary Silver Fox Sumi-e.
Location: Omi Province, The Shimmering Fields, Shigaraki Hamlet
Time: Day
Season: Summer
Details: Move toward the southeastern subregion in the Omi province. Once in Shimmering Fields, start moving toward the southwest side to reach Shigaraki Hamlet. Enter the helmet, follow the path, and eventually, players will find the creature lying down in an open field.
Rewards: 500 XP and Wall Decoration—Legendary Tanuki Sumi-e
[Note: This trophy can be achieved using Naoe’s stealth. So, it’s better not to switch to Yasuke when locating these creatures. Scaring them will fail the entire objective.
The locations of these animals are already given, and here are some extra tips for players to capture them without much struggle.
Time and Season: Players must ensure that they are visiting these locations at the right time and season. These animals only appear under precise conditions.
Approach Carefully: Whenever approaching them, players must ensure they are crouching and moving slowly. Startling these animals will fail their mission.
Use the Compass: Keep an eye on the compass, and it will show the Sumi-e icon. It will make tracking their locations easier.
Check the Codex: Keep checking the codex. All the Sumi-e paintings, including the legendary ones, are showcased in the Codex. It will make it easier for the players to track them.
