According to leaker John Prosser Apple iOS 19 will undergo a fundamental camera app redesign while embracing Apple's visionOS approach to design. Apple now presents a fresh camera app design that brings easier user experience through its simplified interface.

The camera app redesign uses translucent menu designs to build a clean display that puts the viewfinder front and center. The new design places main features at the bottom so users can quickly switch between photo and video views without navigation. You can reach accessory settings such as portrait depth and spatial capture by tapping once.

Users can now customize their videos through features including slow-motion recording, time-lapse creation, action mode control and exposure customization. At the top of the interface you will discover all settings for resolution and frame rate. Many essential user functions from previous iOS versions stay unchanged including the photo gallery shortcut and front camera toggle.

The camera app update shows how visionOS now affects Apple's mixed reality devices. The new design could spread through all key apps on the phone including musical playback and wallet services.

Alongside the camera app iOS 19 will offer a stronger version of Siri. Future Siri editions will utilize large language models to make speaking with the system much easier. This update disputes ChatGPT technology by keeping Apple's promise to protect user confidentiality.

Advanced AI functions will only work on iPhone 15 Pro and later devices while all iPhone models between iPhone 11 and iPhone 17 will run iOS 19. Apple will announce iOS 19 at the Worldwide Developers Conference in June 2025 with a public release in September.

Apple continues to lead by combining new technology features that enhance user capabilities without sacrificing what makes iOS work well. iOS 19 introduces fresh ways for users to connect with their apps.
