Prime Video is adding a broad mix of movies and series to its streaming library. The lineup includes major originals, returning shows, animated comedy, romance, horror, and action.
Carrie arrives with a new Stephen King adaptation from Mike Flanagan. Helluva Boss returns with its third season, while The Terminal List continues James Reece's story.
Original films such as Love of Your Life and Masterplan add romance and comedy to the schedule.
Prime Video has a busy month ahead, with fresh originals and returning favorites. The lineup covers horror, thrillers, animation, drama, comedy, and international stories. Several titles also bring familiar franchises back for another chapter.
Viewers can expect both high-profile premieres and quieter character-driven stories. The schedule also offers plenty of variety for different moods and viewing preferences. From Stephen King adaptations to family heists, the latest Prime Video shows offer something for everyone.
One of the month's biggest arrivals is Carrie, premiering October 7. The series adapts Stephen King's debut novel for a new television audience. Mike Flanagan, known for modern horror storytelling, developed the series. Summer H. Howell plays Carrie White in the eight-episode series. The story follows a bullied teenager with dangerous telekinetic abilities. This version also brings contemporary elements, including cyberbullying.
For horror fans, Carrie offers a familiar story with a modern setting. The new adaptation could also introduce King's work to younger viewers.

Action fans have another major Amazon Prime release to watch later this month. The Terminal List: Dark Wolf returns with its second season. All eight episodes are scheduled to arrive on October 21. Chris Pratt returns as James Reece in the action thriller. The new story takes the character across several international locations. The mission reportedly moves through Africa, Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
The series combines military action with espionage and personal stakes. Its return adds another high-profile thriller to Prime Video's October schedule.
Animation gets attention with Helluva Boss Season 3 Part 1. The first seven episodes of the season arrive October 14. The series follows an unusual assassination business operating in Hell. Its dark comedy and adult humor have built a dedicated audience. The new episodes continue the adventures of its chaotic central characters. Prime Video is also adding several animated and family-focused titles. Availability can differ by country, so check local listings.
Not every October release is built around action or horror. Love of Your Life arrives October 14 as a romantic drama. Margaret Qualley leads the cast alongside Aaron Pierre and Catherine Keener. The story follows a woman rebuilding her life after losing her husband. Her relationship begins after a whirlwind romance changes everything.
The film gives the monthly lineup a quieter emotional option. It may appeal to viewers looking for character-driven entertainment.
Masterplan arrives October 16 with Stanley Tucci leading the cast. The film combines comedy, crime, and an unusual family dynamic. Tucci plays a legendary art thief planning an ambitious Mona Lisa heist. He recruits two young strangers to help execute the plan. The pair eventually discover an unexpected connection to the master thief. That revelation turns the robbery into a complicated family affair.
The premise gives the film a lighter alternative to October's darker releases. Its European setting also adds another layer to the heist story.

The platform is also refreshing its library with recognizable movies. The Spanish Prime Video release calendar lists numerous additions throughout October. Those include action films, horror titles, dramas, and older Hollywood favorites.
