XRP’s future looks bright, but a big breakout might still be months away as ETF applications stall. While investors wait, attention is shifting to a new player known as Remittix. Billed as “XRP 2.0,” it’s stepping up with real-world utility in the crypto-to-fiat space.
It’s already raised over $15 million here’s why it might be the smarter play.
XRP has finally cleared a major hurdle. After nearly five years of legal battles, Ripple settled with the SEC on May 8, 2025, paying a reduced fine of $50 million, down from $125 million. The key win is clarification that XRP isn’t a security in the US when traded on secondary markets. That’s lit a fire under the token, with XRP rallying by over 11% in the past 14 days and briefly touching $2.62, now at $2.47.
There’s also growing talk of an XRP ETF. BlackRock reportedly met with the SEC to discuss an application, and with prediction markets giving ETF approval an 80% chance before year-end, anticipation is building. Notably, Franklin Templeton, Bitwise and 21 Shares have already filed applications. Analysts are throwing out big numbers; one XRP community OG is even calling for $11.34 by year-end.
Ripple is also doubling down on institutional use. Plans are in motion to make the XRP Ledger the go-to blockchain for banks, backed by new features like Ethereum compatibility and upgraded security. Partnerships in places like Dubai and across Africa (via Chipper Cash) show that XRP’s global ambitions are real.
There’s a clear shift underway. Regulatory pressure is easing and XRP sits firmly as the fourth most valuable cryptocurrency with a market cap of $144 billion. However, it’ll likely be an ETF that catalyzes a real breakout and that might be months away. That’s led some to diversify into what’s being called “XRP 2.0.”
Remittix is picking up serious momentum, and it’s not hard to see why. It solves a very real problem: sending crypto to someone who just wants money in their bank account. Just crypto out, fiat in.
Right now, Remittix supports over 40 cryptocurrencies and more than 30 fiat currencies. Users can connect their wallets, choose a currency and make a payment that lands directly in a global bank account. Flat fees mean no nasty surprises, and what’s sent is what’s received.
For businesses, Remittix is rolling out tools that make crypto payments just as easy. The Remittix Pay API allows merchants to accept crypto and settle in fiat, meaning they have full control over how to cash out. There’s also a merchant dashboard that handles everything from conversion settings to choosing which of the 50+ crypto pairs to use.
In its ongoing presale, Remittix has seen overwhelming demand. It raised over $15 million, with over two-thirds of the 750 million tokens allocated to the ICO sold out. Each stage of the presale has unlocked a higher price, with RTX currently sitting at $0.0757, supported by a $250k giveaway running. Behind the scenes, Remittix is serious about transparency.
The big picture is what makes Remittix so exciting. Remittix is aiming for a slice of the $194 trillion cross-border payments market by merging the speed of crypto with the convenience of fiat.
If XRP’s real-world progress has shown anything, it’s that crypto adoption for everyday payments and moving capital across the globe is accelerating. Solutions like Remittix that follow in its footsteps but target those wanting simplicity could be big winners in this bull cycle. With so much potential, it’s no wonder people are calling it “XRP 2.0.”
There are plenty of reasons to be bullish on XRP, but investors might be waiting months for a breakout. With an exchange listing around the corner, Remittix looks like a much more explosive play.
Presale performance has already shown that Remittix’s vision of a simple crypto-to-fiat off-ramp is in demand. It won’t be long until the RTX token sells out; consider a position before it’s too late.
