In a market that is dominated by spend and clout, traders can be forgiven for being unable to look past the presale heavyweights such as BlockDAG.
The incredibly aggressive and industry-renowned marketing strategy adopted by the BlockDAG team has captured a significant amount of mindshare within the presale vertical, backed up by a BlockDAG price prediction that, off the face of it, looks incredibly bullish.
The fact of the matter is though, that a vast majority of BlockDAG price prediction thesis is made by either anonymous analysts, or published on the projects own website which would suggest a sizable degree of agnostic bias. How do you look through the smoke, and identify whether price predictions are based on hype or fundamentals?
The first step is to compare-and-contrast with other presale projects that offer a point of difference. Take LivLive for instance, a recently incepted crypto presale that, in addition to usual hype tactics, offers a lot more than just tokens on a screen, or miners that take years to materialize.
The short answer is yes. Any project that is running a presale, is ultimately competing with BlockDAG for impressions and mindshare. In regards to utility, LivLive definitely makes its case as one for BlockDAG to keep an eye out for in its rearview mirror.
What makes LivLive different, and arguably gives a competitive edge over $BDAG, is the proof of concept that is candid from day 1.
This has been BlockDAG’s biggest Achilles heel, with a sparse GitHub and very little proof of physical products having plagued the project's image from its earliest days. LivLive however, is the polar opposite. The team have already showcased the augmented reality wearables on offer, the $LIVE ecosystem ace-in-the-hole.
The concept is surprisingly simple. Users purchase an NFT pack, starting with the IGNITE tier priced at $250, and in-turn they receive tons of additional benefits, the AR wearable being the showcase item. With one IGNITE purchase, users receive 12,500 $LIVE, 17,500 bonus $LIVE, mining power, a chance at winning $1,000 from the IGNITE-tier vault, and the physical wearable.
A quick Google Search can show a ton of articles that attempt to answer this question. The most eye-catching of all, is the self-published article on BlockDAG blog that seems to claim a “20x bump” from its launch price of $0.05 to $1 is “certainly possible”. When you look at the numbers, it’s a pretty unsubstantiated statement.
Based on 150 billion presale coins being sold, this would give BlockDAG a fully diluted valuation (FDV) of $7.5 billion. Moreover, based on 15 billion coins being in circulation, this would make the marketcap on launch around $750 million. Therefore, a 20x from here would mean a climb from $750 million to $15 billion - which seems an impossibility given the amount of tokens being distributed regularly in the vesting schedule.
To summarise, the BlockDAG price prediction of $1 seems to be based on fantasy, as opposed to facts, based on the numbers alone.
When looking at utility and use-case, BlockchainFX seems to have a lot more credibility and potential longevity than Bitcoin Hyper. With the ability to mix both TradFi and DeFi, and already possessing a license to run an exchange, BlockchainFX wins the utility battle by a mile.
While BlockchainFX certainly looks promising, the 30x multiplier and $2.5 million giveaway seemingly sway the pendulum in the favour of the LivLive presale. The $BDAG price prediction should be analysed with extreme scrutiny, as it would require a monumental post-launch push to sustain the probable sell pressure of such a massive presale.
LivLive, with a substantially lower raise, offers a promising alternative to the likes of BlockDAG, and still gives participants first-mover advantage, something which has long-deserted the BlockDAG community.
