Vijay Tella is a technology entrepreneur and business leader who serves as co-founder and CEO of Workato. Based in Palo Alto, California, he has built a career across enterprise software, middleware, mobile video, and automation. His leadership experience includes senior roles at TIBCO Software, Oracle, Qik, and Skype. Tella brings together technical knowledge, business strategy, and product leadership while focusing on automation and enterprise technology and modern enterprise products.
Vijay Tella got his undergraduate degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, where he graduated with a B.Tech in Computer Science. Subsequently, he joined UCLA and obtained his MS degree in Computer Science. While pursuing his graduate studies, Vijay was awarded the Outstanding MS Graduate award by the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Vijay Tella began his professional career at TIBCO Software as Founding Senior Vice President of Engineering. He later moved to Oracle, where he worked as the Chief Strategy Officer of Fusion Middleware. Tella later worked as the CEO of Qik, which was acquired by Skype. After the acquisition, he later worked at Skype as the vice president of mobile video. He later co-founded Workato in 2013 and worked as the CEO.
