At its Community Day event held on August 29, 2026, the Bengaluru-based company introduced the Ather Konarc, its most affordable electric scooter to date. Priced from Rs. 99,999 ex-showroom, the Konarc is built on an entirely new platform called EL, marking a deliberate shift toward mass-market volumes rather than performance-first positioning.
The Konarc is not a stripped-down version of the Ather 450 or Rizta. It runs on the company's newly developed EL architecture, engineered specifically for affordability without compromising Ather's core engineering values.
Two distinct series have been introduced under this nameplate:
Konarc S: the value-focused lineup, offered across four IDC range options between 100 km and 200 km.
Konarc Z: a slightly upmarket series limited to 125 km and 161 km range variants, carrying additional convenience features.
At launch, Ather confirmed pricing and specifications for three Konarc S variants only, with the 200 km version and the entire Z lineup scheduled for a later reveal.
Business Today reported that nearly half of India's electric scooter demand sits between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 1.2 lakh, a segment where Ather previously had no presence. The Konarc directly targets this gap.

All three variants use aluminum battery casings and carry an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, a feature typically reserved for premium models. Riders can choose between three riding modes: SmartEco, Eco, and Power, allowing flexibility between range preservation and everyday acceleration.
A standout element of the EL platform is its integrated charging setup. Every Konarc S variant ships with a 450W onboard charger as standard equipment, eliminating the need to carry a separate external charging brick.
Additionally, the 161 km variant includes a combined 450W charger at no extra cost, cutting home charging time significantly compared to the base version.
Ather has retained a steel unibody chassis across the Konarc range, reinforcing the brand's emphasis on structural durability. The scooter rides on a 14-inch front alloy wheel and a 12-inch rear alloy wheel, a combination chosen to improve stability on uneven Indian road surfaces.

Connectivity features such as 4G LTE, GNSS tracking, and over-the-air software updates are exclusive to the higher-range variants, alongside Ather Connect services including tow and theft notifications, ride stories, and remote charging status, all complimentary for three years.
Ather is offering a standard vehicle and battery warranty of three years or 30,000 kilometers across the Konarc lineup.
Buyers who opt for AtherStack Pro can extend this to five years or 60,000 kilometers, with further extended battery warranty options stretching to eight years or 80,000 kilometers, and even ten years or 100,000 kilometers under an additional extended plan.
