Bitcoin ETFs Bleed USD 487M, Biggest Exit Since June

US spot Bitcoin ETFs shed USD 487.07 million in net outflows, according to SoSoValue. BlackRock's IBIT led the exits with USD 207.67 million, while Fidelity's FBTC lost USD 105.15 million. Mudrex called it the heaviest withdrawal since late June.

Ether funds also lost USD 160.8 million, according to WazirX. Fresh withdrawals could cap any bounce, so traders now treat daily fund flows as a live read on institutional appetite. Steady inflows would signal that demand is returning.

US Government Moves 12,267 Bitcoin Tied to Bitfinex Hack

Arkham data shows a US government wallet holding Bitfinex hack funds moved 12,267 BTC on October 8. The transfer was worth about USD 1.01 billion. Earlier moves sent more than 6,200 BTC to Coinbase Prime.

Large wallet movements often revive supply worries among traders. CoinDesk reported no sign of a sale so far, which keeps the focus on exchange inflows. Any deposit to a trading venue would raise selling concerns.

Trump Rules Out Iran Strike Before Midterms as Oil Spikes

President Donald Trump said the US would not strike Iran before the November 3 midterm elections. Bitcoin recovered above USD 81,000 after the remark, according to Delta Exchange.

Oil still spiked toward USD 105 during the session, according to Mudrex. Brent rose 4.1%, per BitDelta India, which keeps inflation worries alive. Traders will watch US and Iran negotiations for the next signal on risk assets.

JPMorgan Sees USD 50B Flowing into Crypto this Year

JPMorgan estimates that about USD 50 billion has flowed into crypto this year. The figure is roughly half of last year's pace. ETF inflows have strengthened since August, which supports a positive fourth-quarter outlook, according to the bank.

The estimate offers a counterweight to recent fund outflows. Institutional demand has not vanished, though daily flow data remains choppy. Bitcoin needs steadier inflows to turn that bank view into price support.

Bitwise Dogecoin ETF to Close After October 14

Bitwise will stop trading its Dogecoin ETF after October 14. The fund holds just USD 726,000 in assets. Dogecoin trades near USD 0.0851 and has fallen 4.2% in the past 24 hours.

By contrast, Bitwise's Solana Staking ETF manages USD 1.3 billion. The gap suggests investors prefer tokenization-linked bets over meme assets. Solana still slipped 5.0% today, so flows alone have not shielded prices.

Investor and Market Outlook

Bitcoin is defending support near USD 80,000, and USD 85,000 remains the key resistance. A daily close below USD 80,000 could expose USD 77,000. Investors should favor staggered entries, modest position sizing and low leverage.
