Workato Opens Hyderabad AI Collaboration Hub to Co-Build the Future of Enterprise AI with Customers and Partners

A first-of-its-kind space where customers, partners, and Workato developers build production-grade agentic AI together - not in pilots, but in production.

Hyderabad, India, August 11, 2026Workato®, the leading Control & Execution Platform for Enterprise AI, today announced the opening of its third AI Collaboration Hub, located in Hyderabad, joining existing hubs in San Francisco and Singapore. The Hyderabad hub is a working space built on a simple conviction: the next wave of enterprise AI will be built together with an ecosystem of customers and partners.

Located at Aurobindo Orbit, Hyderabad Knowledge City, HITEC City, the hub at its core is the Enterprise AI Collaboration Centre - a space where Workato customers, global system integrator (GSI) partners, developers, and Workato's own engineers sit in the same room and co-design, build, and ship agentic AI solutions. The facility pairs collaboration zones and hot-desking with hands-on build labs, so that what starts as a whiteboard idea on Monday can be a running agentic workflow against a customer's real systems by Friday.

Closing the gap where enterprise AI usually dies

The launch lands at a moment when most enterprise AI never makes it out of the prototypes. According to McKinsey & Company, nearly 80% of organizations report no tangible business impact from generative AI - and that gap has almost nothing to do with the models. It's the last mile: connecting AI to thirty-year-old ERP systems, regulated data, and multi-cloud infrastructure, with the governance to run safely at scale. That last mile is exactly what Workato's control & execution platform was built for, and the Hyderabad hub is where customers and partners now get to build across it, shoulder to shoulder with the engineers who created it.

Why Hyderabad, why now

India has become a center of gravity for enterprise AI engineering - and not for the reasons most people assume. According to Stanford's 2026 AI Index Report, India is the second-largest contributor to global GitHub AI activity, accounting for nearly 20% of all AI development, and India and the United States together account for over half the world's AI workforce. But the real advantage is depth: engineers here work across the full stack - model architecture, enterprise systems design, and the governance layer that makes AI deployable in enterprise environments. Hyderabad holds a uniquely dense concentration of that talent.

Since establishing its India operations in 2022, Workato India has grown to more than 200 employees across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, with India playing an increasingly central role in the company's global engineering and AI roadmap. The new hub deepens that investment and turns it outward - toward the customers and partners to co-ideate and co-build enterprise-grade solutions.

What it means for customers and partners

For customers, the hub compresses the distance between an AI idea and an AI outcome. Instead of trading documents and waiting on roadmaps, they co-engineer solutions against their own systems, in real time, with the people who built the platform. For GSI partners, it's a launchpad: a place to co-create repeatable agentic solutions, establish enterprise AI practices, and bring joint offerings to market at speed.

“I grew up in Hyderabad, so opening this hub is personal - but why it matters to our customers is anything but sentimental. The hard part of enterprise AI was never the model; it's making AI work within real companies, with their enterprise systems, data, and compliance realities,” said Vijay Tella, CEO and Co-founder, Workato. “The engineers who can solve that - at the intersection of AI, enterprise architecture, and governance - are here. So, we opened a place where our customers and partners build production-grade AI with us, in the same room, and walk out with something tangible.”

“Enterprise AI adoption requires more than powerful models; it demands seamless integration, intelligent orchestration, and enterprise-grade governance. Our collaboration with Workato combines Persistent's expertise in AI-led digital engineering and enterprise integration with Workato's automation and orchestration platform to help organizations operationalize AI at scale. The AI Collaboration Hub provides a valuable space for co-innovation, enabling teams to jointly design, build, and accelerate production-ready AI solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes” said Sameer Dixit, Corporate VP-Data, Integration & AI, Persistent Systems.

“Customers want AI that delivers real business value-not just pilots. This hub enables us to co-innovate with Workato’s engineers and rapidly bring agentic solutions to market, helping customers realize value faster. Having our architects and Workato's engineers co-building in the same room, against a customer's real environment, cuts months out of the path from idea to deployed agentic workflow. It's how we scale enterprise AI delivery with the speed and governance our clients expect from us.” said Gopikrishnan Konnanath, Global Head, Digital Enterprise Applications, Tech Mahindra.

Building the next generation of enterprise AI, in the open

With the AI Collaboration Hub, Workato is betting that enterprise AI advantage comes from co-creation - customers, partners, and developers building together, against real systems, with governance built in from day one. Hyderabad is where that bet gets built.
