How to Remove a Privacy Password From WhatsApp?

Ramola Gautam

Open WhatsApp Settings on your phone: Click the three dots in the top-right corner of WhatsApp and select "Settings" from the drop-down menu

Click Privacy Settings: Once in settings, click on ‘Privacy’. This is where you will find all your lock and password options

Click the Privacy Lock or Fingerprint Lock option: Scan through the ‘Privacy Lock’ (or using Fingerprint Lock on some phones) feature to change your lock options

Disable App Lock for WhatsApp: To turn off the app lock, turn off the Fingerprint Lock or App Lock button. This action removes the password required to access chats

Confirm Your Identity via Biometrics or Password: WhatsApp will ask you to prove your identity using your fingerprint or the current password that was used

Lock Disabled: Once confirmed, you have disabled your privacy lock. You're now able to go directly to WhatsApp without going through an additional verification step

Consider Keeping the Notifications Private Instead: If you still want to be somewhat private, change your notifications to hide, but allow users to open your app without locking the app down
