Ferrari Luce: Ferrari’s first fully electric production car represents a major technological shift, moving the Italian marque into the EV era while retaining its focus on performance, exclusivity and driver engagement. 122kWh Battery: The Luce packs a 122kWh battery designed around Ferrari’s performance requirements, giving the electric grand tourer more than 530 kilometres of claimed range. The battery operates on an 800-volt electrical architecture, supporting high-performance power delivery and rapid charging. Ferrari has also focused heavily on developing and engineering its electric components in-house, strengthening the company’s technological independence as electrification expands across its future vehicle lineup.
Fast Charging: Ferrari has equipped Luce with charging capability of up to 350kW, allowing the battery to gain approximately 70kWh in around 20 minutes under suitable conditions. The system is intended to make high-performance electric driving more practical, reducing charging interruptions during longer journeys. Its 800-volt architecture also highlights Ferrari’s effort to combine extreme performance with charging technology expected from modern premium electric vehicles.
Performance: Luce can accelerate from zero to 100kmph in approximately 2.5 seconds, while its top speed exceeds 310kmph. Those figures place Ferrari’s first EV firmly within the performance-car category rather than treating electrification as simply an efficiency exercise. The four-motor setup, torque management and all-wheel drive help deliver the immediate acceleration associated with electric vehicles while maintaining Ferrari’s emphasis on dynamic driving performance.
Driving Dynamics: Ferrari has combined electric propulsion with sophisticated chassis technology, including torque vectoring, four-wheel steering and active suspension. These systems work together to manage the car’s substantial power and weight while improving cornering behaviour and driver control. Jony Ive Design: Luce introduces a radically different design direction through Ferrari’s collaboration with LoveFrom, the design collective founded by former Apple chief designer Jony Ive and Marc Newson. The minimalist approach extends into the cabin, where Ferrari combines physical controls with a clean, technology-focused interior. The collaboration represents Ferrari’s willingness to rethink its traditional design language as it enters an entirely new automotive era.
